New Nikon Lenses

Nikon today announced (9th feb) two new lenses to their line.

One of them is the fast prime lens, the 24mm F1.4 AF-S G, the other a 16-35 F4 AF-S G VRII.

No doubt this new ultra wide zoom will fill the void to the ones that cannot afford the current 17-35 F2.8 AF-S or the 14-24 F2.8 AF-S G.

Both new lenses have nikon's new nano crystal coating.

Nikon Announcement II

Well it looks like there was no huge announcement on the DSLR front today by Nikon.

However there were 5 new Nikon Coolpix range released and an upcoming announcement, most likely of the 2 new wide angle lenses and perhaps the next DSLR release will be PMA on 20-22 Feb.

Still the 1080p announcement to one of the coolpix range can only mean that the next DSLR will have 1080p video which will keep the Nikon camp happy....

Nikon Announcement

Nikon is due to announce some new gear on 3rd Feb.

At this stage, there is no indication of any new digital bodies apart from their compact coolpix range.

However from all the whispers a, 24mm F 1.4 AF-S and a 16-35 F4 VR are likely additions to Nikons lens line up.

I guess we'll just have to wait for Photokina later this month for a D700 replacement or a baby D3x.

Phenomenon - i think not

I shot this on the morning of the Lambo & XM Falcon shoot. Later i was informed that there were people calling in thinking it was some sort of phenomenon............. Far from the truth...
